Comments
You will learn how comment threads work on a page and how they differ from Ask Dokko chat.
Open comments
- Open the page you want to discuss.
- Click the comments control in the page header (speech-bubble icon).
- The comments sidebar lists threads attached to the document.
You can start a new thread or reply inside an existing one. Comments are visible to others who can access the page, according to the same permissions as the document.
What comments are for
Use comments for page-specific feedback: questions about a paragraph, requests for clarification, or lightweight review notes. They stay with the page so context is not lost in email or chat apps.
Comments are not a substitute for issue tracking. Link to your tracker when work needs an owner and a state machine outside Dokko.
What Ask Dokko cannot do
Ask Dokko answers questions about your workspace and how Dokko works, but it cannot post comments for you. Add comments from the page header control.
